Jamie Miranda

Hi, I'm Ms. Miranda! I have been a science teacher since 2014, teaching at both the middle and high school levels, and I have been teaching at Dolores Huerta High School since 2024.

Teaching is in my DNA—my biggest inspirations are my mother, who taught elementary school for 37 years, and my grandmother, who was an elementary school teacher in South Korea. I love getting to know my students and showing them how science is all around us and how cool it can be!

I live with my husband, my baby daughter, and my little Maltese dog, Zero. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, crocheting, and reading with my book club.
