Oscar Delgado

My name is Oscar Delgado, and this is my 23rd year with the Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD). As a proud product of the district, I attended Monte Vista Elementary, Diamond Elementary, Jackson Elementary, Carr Intermediate, and Valley High School before continuing my education at Santa Ana College and California State University, Fullerton, where I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

I began my career with SAUSD as a paraprofessional at Santa Ana High School, where I supported students while pursuing my teaching credential. After earning my credential in 2008, I became an educator at Santa Ana High School. During the summers, I supported students at Lorin Griset Academy, and I later continued supporting students at Dolores Huerta High School (formerly César E. Chávez High School).

In the spring of 2023, I officially joined the Huerta High School family as an Education Specialist, providing additional support to students and staff.

Outside of education, I enjoy traveling, exploring different parts of the world, and running. I have completed more than 50 half marathons and eight marathons, and I am currently training for my next one! I also enjoy discovering new restaurants and trying different foods, so I am always open to recommendations. I look forward to helping and collaborating with our team, students, and parents.
