My name is Mr. Cheser (aka Coach Ron). I have been teaching for over 30 years and coaching high school and college volleyball for over 45 years.

I have spent 29 years teaching in Santa Ana Unified, including 28 years at MacArthur Fundamental Middle School teaching language arts and history, coaching, and leading ASB and student clubs. Prior to SAUSD, I taught World History and served as the head girls' volleyball coach at Mater Dei for five years.

While I’ve received numerous honors in the classroom and on the court, the biggest honor is seeing my students and athletes succeed, grow as individuals, and develop a true love for learning. My career has brought immense joy, and being paid to do what I love every day is a blessing beyond words!

Outside of school, I am an avid gardener, beach volleyball player, fisherman, and Angels fan. I reside in Irvine with my wife and children.
