Joe Salazar

I've been working at Dolores Huerta for over 24 years, and 26 years total with the school district. I have degrees in both Criminal Justice and Criminal Science from Santa Ana College and Fullerton College. I graduated from the Fullerton Police Academy in 2006 in the top tier of my class, and later served as a reserve officer at the Maywood/Cudahy Police Department in Los Angeles.

Every day, I am excited to come to work to provide a safe and secure environment for our students and staff. It's important to me that I get to know our students when they set foot on campus. This institution is dedicated to learning and assures an environment conducive to personal success.

It is my job to help Huerta staff enable our students to have a smooth, fearless, and successful experience while attending Dolores Huerta High School—home of our new mascot, the Monarchs!
